Pound Of Love

I gained another pound
It happened overnight
I sat and wondered why
But now I see the light

We prayed for us to be closer
For our mind and soul to be one
I guess our prayers were answered
Because God's will has made it done

My love for you is deeper
Than it was when I went to bed
I can feel our minds getting closer
I can feel our souls being fed

So I'm not upset that I gained a pound
For that pound is solid, pure love
My love for you grows steadily stronger
