Father/Child

Sometimes I don't understand
The things God puts me through
I guess it's not for me to know
He does what He has to do

I know He's my loving Father
And I know I am His child
Some kids need to learn things hard
While others need it mild

I remember when I lost my way for awhile
He lovingly welcomed me back in the fold
Even though I'm still on punishment
He's there for me to hold

I Thank the Lord for His unconditional love
As He lovingly helps me get back on track
This is the love of a Father to His child
I'm so happy He's got my back
