This New Year

Lord, I wish I wasn't so tired
Now all this coffee has got me wired
But that doesn't make me any less inspired

I've seen many new years come and go
It's all part of the natural flow
Just like the things I've come to know

I've noticed things as I've grown older
As life in the world has become much colder
God's plan for me is getting much bolder

The only thing that feels right is doing His will
Making him proud of me gives me my fill
And He gives to me what gives me a thrill

So my new year's resolution should be no surprise
To try to always do what is right in His eyes
And anxiously await my love in Paradise
