I can't chase
What's not my calling
Every time I tried
I ended up falling

Mine is unique
Very hard to describe
Nobody else would get
That particular vibe

I don't even understand
How it's going down
I'll just have to trust
The one with the crown

I won't say it's easy
To have faith in what you don't see
But I guess by definition
That's just what faith be

I don't go by my understanding
I just listen to the Spirit's voice
I know if I do
I'm making the right choice

I surrender to direction

Focus

Please make them disappear
The distractions that are peripheral
I really just need to focus
On a love that is ethereal

The mind can be full of useful thoughts
It's quite a wonderful utility
But all this excess chatter in my brain
Is making my goal almost an exercise in futility

It's important that you know
I want all my attention on you
I'm going to make that happen
