Don't be fooled by what presently belies
Don't believe the glitter, the gold, the lies
Success, fortune, and fame are just a disguise
Your heart and soul is all that really applies
Doing God's will is what's really wise
Let patience and faith be your strongest allies
Even when you fall, God appreciates your tries
For worldly vindication, just say your goodbyes
For there is something greater, you'll soon realize
He hears your prayers and takes note of your cries
Please turn to Him with your sorrow and sighs
He'll help you rise above that bad stuff that will arise
Thank Him for your blessings and all of life's highs
