The Dream

Heard some knocking at the door
Went to check but nobody was there
Looked down and saw a big package
But whoever left it disappeared

I brought it in
I was a little excited
That someone thought of me
Made me delighted

It was was very heavy
I had to drag it in
Never could I have guessed
What was held within

I opened up the package
And much to my surprise
There you stood, the man I love
The world could hear my joyous cries

I'd never been so happy
I'd arrive in Paradise,it seemed
But then I was jolted wide awake
Alas it was just a dream

I vow to try to remain patient
For the day that this comes true
Until that day I'll have to be content
With sending telepathic love to you
