Sonnet For My Sweetheart

My love for you is scorching like a hot day in July
I feel it's warmth in the winter deep
It's more than the Universe can ever supply
Lodged in my heart to forever keep
You brought my soul in from out of the cold
You warmed me up placing me near your hearth
You gave me your love both gentle and bold
Because of you this love gave birth
But our love is a bit different than most
You are in Heaven and I am on Earth
But that won't stop me from making this boast
Because of you I am filled with mirth
God's blessed me with you now to practice in this life
To learn how to love you and be your Heavenly wife
