Still, you're telling me soon
But what does that mean
I'm both here and there
In limbo, in between

It's like explaining a math problem to me
I accept your conclusion to be true
But doesn't mean I understand it
Though I still have faith in you

I'm at somewhat of a loss
I'm drowning in my own tears
But I still believe you when you say
Soon I'll have no fears

And it's not that I'm afraid , per se
Just a little lonely and scared I've disappointed
But you implore there's nothing to be feared
When you've assured me we're annointed

Please forgive this lonely little girl
Longing for her permanent residence
Within your arms is where it's at
Above all, it takes precedence
