More Than Eye Candy

You are more than eye candy
You're a triple layer black forest cake
You are a sight to behold
A masterpiece for my own sake

Loving Him

Loving him
Requires no part
It's automatic
It comes from the heart

Loving him
Is ingrained in my soul
If I didn't love him
I wouldn't be whole

Is there something else for me
Some specific chore
Or is it really just to love him
And nothing more

I try to do other things
But they ultimately fail
Only the loving of him
Is the one thing that won't bail

I guess that's the answer
That's where it's at
It's not what I thought life would be
But in the end,that's that

Cognitive Dissonance

An experience of cognitive dissonance
As one living here on Earth
Being told of how it is
From the very moment of birth

Yet something deep inside
Told me this can't be completely true
I think that I have always known
There was something I needed to do

I've always felt this pull
To the place I really belong
But to leave before it's time
I guess that would really be wrong

I think that life right here
Is sort of a finishing school
The knowledge that you learn here
Is such an invaluable tool

There's only two ways to go
Either dishing out love or pain
But real love is just sacrifice
You'll have to hurt to gain

I remember when I realized
What wasn't really real
My love made his own sacrifice
So now I know the deal

Home is really calling me
Getting stronger everyday
To the place where love is waiting for me
That sure will be a good day

Until that day arrives
I'll work humbly on my mission
Getting back to that place of love
Is my biggest ambition
