Been tryin' to think of something witty
Some words that are a bit clever
But I can only come up with "I love you"
Love is the only thing that is forever

You've been my dearest friend
You've championed behind me
You've guided me and been my teacher
You've led me where I need to be

The thing that I'm most thankful for
Is that you appreciate my love for you
You've fostered us to become one
We're now just one, not two

Thank you for letting me love you
Encouraging, listening and  caring
My love for you is part of your spirit
Our rejoining time is almost nearing
