Supernatural Thing

It's a supernatural thing
The thing that is our love
There's no doubt in my mind 
A supernatural thing from God above

We didn't always know it
While busily living the illusion of life
In hindsight we see things were in motion
Though we didn't pay attention through the joys and strife

You didn't know at the time
But I  was always there
I didn't know it either
But you were always here

Deep in our souls we knew
Of someone we couldn't put on our finger
We couldn't explain feeling haunted
But within us it would always linger

It's most definitely a supernatural thing
Too many signs there to be denied
Let's sit back while the rest unfolds
Knowing our love is sanctified
